This Privacy Policy explains how HubStaq ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our service at hubstaq.com. We've written this to be clear and readable, not buried in legal language.
What information we collect
Information you provide directly:
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read it)
- Subscription data you enter manually: tool names, costs, billing cycles, renewal dates, owner names, team names, and notes
Information collected automatically:
- Basic server logs: IP address, request timestamps, and browser type — standard for any web service
- Session tokens stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you authenticated
We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics SDKs, or advertising trackers.
What we do not collect
- Bank account numbers or financial credentials of any kind
- Credit card numbers (billing is handled by Stripe; we never see your card data)
- Usage data from tools you track in HubStaq — we have no access to your other software accounts
- Contacts, emails, or files from your organisation
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the HubStaq service
- Authenticate your account and keep your session active
- Send transactional emails (account-related notifications)
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the product based on how it's being used
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.
Who we share data with
We share your data with the following service providers, only as necessary to operate HubStaq:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Your subscription and account data is stored here.
- Railway — backend hosting. Your API requests are processed here.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. They receive billing information; we do not store it.
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell your data.
Data retention
We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days upon written request to hello@hubstaq.com. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correct your data — update or fix incorrect information
- Delete your data — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your data — request your subscription data in a portable format

Cookies
HubStaq does not use cookies for tracking. We use browser localStorage to store your authentication token (to keep you logged in). You can clear this at any time by signing out or clearing your browser's site data.
Children's privacy
HubStaq is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we've collected data from a minor, contact us at hello@hubstaq.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify registered users by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
